The FCC rules rollback has been blocked! This is the best of manipulation in action, but the results are now veto-proof. It means
those out there in the trenches did good work and reached their various
representatives—in the nick of time! Amazing what this Iinternet does to
just keep a bit of democracy alive. These very different groups reached common ground--motivated by different reasons and values. Read the Free Press' wonderful analysis of how the House voted on the FCC rules.

Thanks to the generous donation of a supporter, Chicago Media Watch has been commissioned to create a series of Briefing Papers. These papers will reveal the truth of what is going on in our country that a corporate media will not reveal. Our first subject is the Military. Please check here.

A Need for Volunteers

Like any effective grassroots group, Chicago Media Watch accomplishes a great deal with a limited budget and a handful of staff members. With expanded resources, CMW could accomplish even more. The need for money goes without saying. The need for volunteer workers is just as important. We need people to help out at our conferences and other special events, and we need people who can lend a hand with routine tasks of all sorts. Everybody’s busy, but we’re hoping that many of our readers will want to spare some time now and then to give CMW a wider reach. For further information, please call us at 773-604-1910.
