The War in America

The war on terror is a distraction from the great dangers we face at home. Since George W. Bush came to power, he has done severe damage to our civil liberties, the environment, to public health, to workers and the poor. He has been getting away with his anti-people rules and appointments under cover of a convenient war, appeals to patriotism, jingoism and the slick use of words. Congress has turned fearful; no one wants to seem "unpatriotic." The following pages will document just how deeply Bush has hurt our civil society.
